What to expect

How an HVAC service call works with us

Every call we take runs on the same written rules, from the first phone call to the cleanup.

The rule behind every job

Diagnosis, then price, then work

You hear what failed and why. Then you get the price in writing. Then, if you say yes, the work starts. We never change that order.

How a service call runs

  1. 1You call or send the form and tell us what the system is doing. We tell you the diagnostic fee before anyone is booked.
  2. 2We put the visit on the next day's schedule and text you the day, the arrival window and the address.
  3. 3The technician finds what failed and tells you why before anyone talks about price.
  4. 4You get the price in writing. Nothing starts until you approve it.
  5. 5We do the work and run the system through a full cycle to see that it holds.
  6. 6We clean up, show you what we did, and tell you plainly if the repair only buys a season.

Price before work

  • ✓We quote the diagnostic fee when you book, before anyone comes to the door
  • ✓Replacement and installation estimates are free
  • ✓Every price is in writing before work starts
  • ✓For a big repair, you get the repair price and a replacement price side by side
  • ✓If we find something else once work starts, we stop and price it before we go on

Response and hours

  • ✓We answer the phone Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • ✓A service call booked today goes on tomorrow's schedule, inside a stated window
  • ✓A form or voicemail that comes in after 7:00 PM gets answered when the phones open at 7:00 AM
  • ✓Commercial clients can book short notice, after-hours and weekend visits, priced per job

Warranty

  • ✓Our labor and workmanship are warranted for 60 to 90 days, and the type of job sets the length
  • ✓The written price says which length applies, so ask if it isn't clear
  • ✓Equipment we install is separately covered by its maker, under the maker's own warranty terms
  • ✓We leave you the equipment documentation and warranty registration after an installation

On site

  • ✓If we find a failed part or a safety problem, we show you the part, the reading or a photo
  • ✓On a replacement we haul the old equipment away and dispose of it
  • ✓We clean the work area before we leave
  • ✓We commission new systems with readings and give you the paperwork

What we won't do

  • ✓Quote a repair over the phone before diagnosing it
  • ✓Restart a furnace with a cracked heat exchanger. We shut it down and show you why
  • ✓Promise a two hour window we can't keep
  • ✓Plumbing or roofing, which are separate trades
