Cost Guide
How much does ductwork repair cost in Falls Church, VA?
By All Purpose Anytime Services LLC
If one room never gets comfortable or someone has told you the ducts are leaking, you'll want a ballpark before you call. We couldn't find a duct repair price published for Falls Church, so national figures are the best there is. Angi's 2025 data puts the average repair at $660, with most jobs between $200 and $2,100, and Thumbtack's June 2026 update gives a typical range of $237 to $955.
National duct repair prices
Nobody we found publishes a figure for Northern Virginia either. What follows are national market numbers, and none of them is our price.
Angi works from 2025 data. Its average is $660 and its usual range $200 to $2,100. It also splits the work by duct type, with rigid duct repairs at roughly $300 to $2,100 and flexible duct repairs at about $100 to $800.
Thumbtack was updated in June 2026 and puts the national average range at $237 to $955, with a low end around $86 and a high end around $2,559. Fixr gives a national average of $600 and an average range of $200 to $1,000.
What makes duct work in Falls Church cost more or less
Much of the older housing here was built before central air. The ducts went in afterward, squeezed into closets, soffits and attics, often with returns that are too small and long trunks running across the attic. A leaking joint inside a soffit or at the far end of an attic trunk takes far longer to reach than one hanging in an open basement.
The 1950s ramblers in Pimmit Hills tend to have short, simple runs. The catch is the additions. Many were built with no new runs, so the added rooms are short of air, and adding a run is a bigger job than resealing a joint.
Angi's numbers show rigid metal duct costing more to repair than flexible duct, and an older house may have both.
If the job needs a permit, it's filed where the house actually sits. The City of Falls Church has its own building division. Pimmit Hills, Seven Corners, Lake Barcroft and Sleepy Hollow have Falls Church addresses but permit through Fairfax County.
Why we start with an inspection
A bigger unit won't cure a starved return, so we look at the ducts before anybody suggests new equipment. Our Ductwork Inspection Audit costs $150 to $300. We put a camera in the duct runs and a pressure gauge on the system, and you get an airflow balancing report at the end.
If the bills worry you more than any one room, the Energy Efficiency Audit, $200 to $400, adds a duct leakage check to a full system efficiency test.
The repair price comes from what the inspection found, run by run, whether a run needs sealing, repair or replacement. We text you the price with a link to approve it, and work starts once you do. The ductwork repair page lists the duct work we take on.
Where these numbers come from
Angi, "How Much Does Ductwork Repair Cost?" uses 2025 data and gave us the national average and usual range, split into rigid and flexible duct. Thumbtack, "How much do ductwork repairs cost?" was updated in June 2026 and gave the national average range with its low and high ends. Fixr, ductwork repair cost shows no year. We read it in October 2026 for its national average and average range.
We also tried cost calculator pages for several Virginia cities. They showed $0.00 placeholders where the data should be, so we used none of them. The audit prices and the method come from our own records.
